CourseDescription: Using the skilldeveloped in Woodcraft I, students will develop advanced wood art skills whilecreating more complex projects. Individual projects will be designed and builtby the student while he or she studies the history and aesthetics of wood art.The safe use of hand and power tools will be stressed during the creation ofthis art. Crafted projects will include: Design problem related to a medievalweapon, design and construction of bird houses to be donated to a local park inSouth Portland,and the students choice of a traditional woodworking project. This coursecounts as a fine arts credit.
