Assignments

The following assignments will be due by the end of the third quarter. The assignments should be passed in as packets stapled together with a cover sheet listing student name, name of assignment and the drawing numbers.

 Orthographic Drawing Handout - Drawing number 5-41 through 5-46. Drawings should be drawn with top, front and side view on a 8.5" x 11" paper with a border. Drawing needs to be centered in border with dimensions.

 Two View Drawings - Drawing number 5-80 through 5-85. Drawings will be done with either two or three views - student is to determine which views are necessary. Plot drawings so they fit on a 8.5" x 11" paper. Drawings must be dimensioned. (6 Drawings)

 Isometric Drawing Handout - Drawing number 5-41 through 5-46. Drawings should be drawn as isometric (3D) on a 8.5" x 11" paper. (6 Drawings) 

 (TEST) - Bookshelf - Handout. Draw as Isometric by using an orthographic drawing.  Print as solid.  See Assignment

 Two View Drawings - Drawing number 5-86 through 5-90. Drawings will be done with either two or three views - student is to determine which views are necessary. Plot drawings so they fit on a 8.5" x 11" paper. Drawings must be dimensioned. (6 Drawings) See Assignment

 (TEST) - Weather Instrument - Drawing number 2-39 on handout. Draw and dimension. (1 Drawing)  See Assignment

The above drawings due by April 1, 2005

 Complete section 20 (Slide Block, Clamp Slide) and 22 (45° Elbow) from the CADKEY 19 workbook. Do each drawing plus any extra credit challenges. (3 Drawings)

 Create either a Working Drawing of the Universal Joint (handout) Fig. 11-41. with either 2 or 3 views of each part with dimensions OR - model the part as a solid that has been assembled. (1 Drawings)  See Assignment

 Choice - Working drawing and 3D model of FOUR of the items in the brown bag in the black filing cabinet. You will need to measure the actual object using the micrometer.
