Personal
Choice Floor Plan
Each of you will be
responsible for designing your own house during second quarter. The design will be a single floor house
(ranch) that includes a floor plan, foundation plan, elevations, electrical
plan, kitchen plan and plot plan. It is
now time to decide what the basic design of the house will be and to start
drawing the floor plan.
·
Use the
Internet or one of the magazines in the drafting room to find a sketch of a
floor plan that you will use as a basis for your house. This will only be a start point, not the
exact design.

1. Select a floor plan design. This
can be done using magazines or using the internet. Try this web site for floor plans - B4UBuild.com
or Dream Home Source. Preview the selections and print out the
floorplan and elevation view of your house.
2. Determine actual dimensions for rooms and draw the house on graph paper
with dimensions.
3. Select windows and doors from the Brosco book and label them on the
graph paper drawing.
4. Get approval from Mr. Trebilcock.
5. Start the drawing on drawing vellum - 1/4" scale.
