AppleWorks

Do word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations with this compactly designed multifunctional program from Apple. It’s a breeze to create just the perfect document for your special occasion. Simply start with one of the built-in assistants or templates — or a blank slate in one of the six modules. AppleWorks includes functions for word processing, spreadsheets, painting, drawing, presentations and databases. You can also work with Microsoft Word and Excel documents with the included file translators.


 DataStudio from PASCO

DataStudio lets you take full advantage of probeware, allowing students to view the data they collect, analyze results, compare relationships and present conclusions.

DataStudio is Flexible.
DataStudio is the only software you need for biology, chemistry, earth & environmental science, physics and general science. Use with PASPORT sensors or ScienceWorkshop interfaces.

DataStudio can be put to work in three ways:

  • EZscreens are specifically designed for simple science activities or for students new to probeware.
  • Electronic Workbooks (eLabs) are perfect for guided inquiry experiments. 
  • Powerful analytical tools allow students to conduct independent inquires. Data collection rates, calculations, data displays and analysis tools can all be defined by the student, allowing them to ask “what if” questions that reveal a wide range of scientific principles.

Microsoft Excel

A popular computer program that allows you to create and edit spreadsheets, which are used to store information in columns and rows that can then be organized and/or processed. Spreadsheets are designed to work well with numbers but often include text. Microsoft Excel is written and distributed by Microsoft for computers using the Microsoft Windows operating system and for Apple Macintosh computers. It features an intuitive interface and capable calculation and graphing tools.

Microsoft Word

A popular computer program that allows you to create and edit text documents, such as research papers and official letters.  Microsoft Word is a word processor program from Microsoft. It was originally written for IBM PC computers running DOS in 1983. Later versions were created for the Apple Macintosh (1984), SCO UNIX, and Microsoft Windows (1989). It is part of the Microsoft Office Suite.
