| What
is an "iTeam"?
They are the students who help
keep the laptops and the associated networks going all over the state of
Maine. These young people have turned out to be very important to the MLTI
program's success.

| The iTeams consists
of students that help daily with minor issues within the classroom. Without
their help these minor issues could become major roadblocks to the use
of technology.
iTeams do not consist of just the computer “geeks” but are a mixture of both boys and girls of all ability levels and motivation. These students are the first line of support in the classroom. Classroom teachers have come to rely on the iTeam members to help with minor technical problems that happen during their classes. They help when students can’t print or can't access the network, for example. They are the first to report problems to the lead teacher or to notify tech support with issues. Members of the iTeam are a test group when we need to make changes to the iBooks. We will begin meeting bi-weekly shortly. These meetings will be used to give training and provide us with feedback as to how things are going with the iBooks. Students interested in becoming members of the iTeam should contact Mr. Zaharis in Room 116A. |
